On this page, you can find the full programme for the intro days at your study programme, contact information, and/or social media. Remember to keep yourself up to date as changes may occur up until the introduction week.

Activities at CBS will appear in your schedule, which you will find at calendar.cbs.dk. The below programme may differ slightly from calendar.cbs.dk, as it shows the room booking timeslots. It is the timeslots in the programme below that you must follow.

Activities outside CBS, e.g. social events, will not appear in your schedule, but only in the programme below.

CBS Graduate Study Start Day 

At the Graduate Study Start Day you will be welcomed along with all the other new students on CBS’ graduate programmes. CBS Graduate Study Start Day consists of an academic introduction to your study programme and a Student Support Fair, where you can get a lot of information about the different services and opportunities at CBS. There will also be a guided campus tour at CBS.

In addition to the academic introductions, there will be plenty of opportunity to network and meet other students in cosy surroundings.

The Graduate Study Start Day will take place at Solbjerg Plads 3, 2000 Frederiksberg.

Student Support Fair

During the Student Support Fair you can hear a variety of presentations and talks about CBS’ services. All presentations are held in the SPs01 auditorium at Solbjerg Plads 3. In addition, there will be walk-ins, where you can get more detailed information and can ask questions.

Presentations

Location: Solbjerg Plads 3, 2000 Frederiksberg, room SPs01.

  • 11:40 – 11:50: CBS Students will talk about the digital platforms you need to know as a CBS student
  • 11:55 – 12:05: CBS IT will talk about the digital platforms you need to know as a CBS student
  • 12:10 – 12:20: CBS Library will give a presentation about the different facilities and offers
  • 12:25 – 12:35: Student Guidance will talk about the help and advice you can get during your studies
  • 12:40 – 12:50: CBS Careers will talk about career-relevant activities and events they arrange as well as the career counseling they provide
  • 12:55 – 13.05: International Office will talk about your opportunities for exchange, CEMS and double degree
  • 13:10 – 13:20: Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship (CSE) will show you how to combine innovation and entrepreneurship with your studies

Guided campus tour

As a new student at CBS, you can get a tour of the campus on Wednesday. The tour gives you the opportunity to get familiar with the most important places, including CBS’ various buildings, canteens, library, and much more. You will be shown around by CBS students who can answer your questions and help you find your way.

Time and meeting place: 10:00 or 14:00. The guided tour starts in front of room SPs01. Please sign up for one of the time slots.

Academic introduction

At the academic introduction, you will get information about your study programme, including the structure and mandatory courses of your study programme.

MSc EBA GMA academic introduction

Time: 13:30 – 16:05
Location: Solbjerg Plads 3, room SPs01 Deloitte Auditorium

Practical information: You do not need to bring anything for the on-campus introduction. The optional social activity afterwards is voluntary, and any purchases are at your own expense.

Entire programme for Wednesday

  • 13:30-14:15: GMA-specific academic introduction. Short presentation about the programme, courses, study groups and practical expectations for the first semester. The purpose is to give students a clear academic overview before teaching begins. Study groups will be formed with UniHelper.
  • 14:25-15:10: GMA Society introduction. Introduction to GMA Society, social life at GMA and ways for new students to get involved. The purpose is to connect students with the programme community outside the classroom.
  • 15:20-16:05: Study Start hosts’ introduction to the rest of the week. Overview of Thursday and Friday activities, promotion of the planned GMA social dinner, and Q&A. The purpose is to make students comfortable with the practical plan and give them a chance to ask questions.
  • Afternoon activity (time and location will be communicated by GMA Society): Casual, non-mandatory social activity. Participation is voluntary and any purchases are at students’ own expense.

Address and room: PH20.-1.46 Ovnhallen – mobil auditoriet, Porcelænshaven 20, 2000 Frederiksberg.

Practical information: Lunch/sandwich is planned; final catering details will be communicated in advance. Please dress according to the weather, as the afternoon activity is planned to take place outdoors if possible.

  • 09:50-10:00: Arrival, seating and welcome by the Study Start hosts. Coffee/tea is planned to be provided during the morning session.
  • 10:00-12:00: Keynote speaker session for GMA students. The session introduces students to relevant academic and professional perspectives connected to General Management and Analytics. The purpose is to connect the study programme to real managerial and analytical challenges.
  • 12:00-12:25: Q&A and short break/wrap-up after the keynote session. Students can ask questions and reflect on the main points from the morning.
  • 12:25-13:00: Walk/travel together to Kongens Have/Rosenborg Garden, 1307 Copenhagen K. If the weather does not allow outdoor activities, the Study Start hosts will communicate an alternative plan.
  • 13:00-13:50: Lunch break in Kongens Have. Sandwiches are planned to be provided, with vegan/gluten-free options expected. If the catering plan changes, students will be informed in advance so they can bring or buy lunch. The purpose is to create an informal break where students can get to know each other.
  • 13:50-16:00: Group division and outdoor games/team-building activities. Students will be placed in smaller groups and take part in social activities designed to help them meet classmates across the programme.
  • Evening activity (time and location will be communicated by GMA Society): Casual, non-mandatory social activity. Participation is voluntary and any purchases are at students’ own expense.

Meeting place: Solbjerg Plads 3, 2000 Frederiksberg, unless otherwise communicated by the Study Start hosts. Meet by the grass outside main entrance.

Practical information: Please bring a phone and comfortable shoes, activities will take place outdoors – dress accordingly. Students can bring lunch or buy food around CBS/Frederiksberg. The social dinner and evening activity are voluntary; final dinner details and any payment information will be communicated in advance.

  • 10:00-10:30: Meet-up and introduction to the day. Students are divided into smaller groups for the social activities, and the Study Start hosts explain the practical rules and meeting points.
  • 10:30-13:30: Scavenger hunt/social activity in smaller groups around CBS, Frederiksberg and Copenhagen. The purpose is to help students get to know each other in smaller settings while becoming familiar with the local area.
  • 13:30-14:30: Group check-in, wrap-up and short prize/recognition activity for the scavenger hunt. The purpose is to bring everyone together again, recognise group effort and close the daytime part of the programme.
  • 17:00-19:45: GMA social dinner in smaller groups, planned together with GMA Society. Exact meeting points and budget details will be communicated in advance.
  • 20:00 onwards: Non-mandatory social event organised together with GMA Society. Participation is voluntary and any purchases are at students’ own expense.

12 August: Online pre-arrival seminar 

Join CBS for an online seminar to help you get settled in Denmark and at CBS. You will get information and tips about registration with the authorities, housing, living in Denmark and much more.

23 August: Welcome event 

On this day you will get essential practical, academic and cultural information to assist you in your transition to CBS and Copenhagen.
